Question 1: Tell us something about yourself
This is usually the primary question asked in Interviews. You must not read all the data in your Resume and also do not go too deep about telling about your parents, village and grandparents etc. For example, ignore answers like- “My village is ABC which come under XYZ District. My school name was XYZ” One should have prepared 3 or 4 line answers about their basic information like How many years, doing what function, Education credentials, Major liability and achievements, Personal summary of work style plus career goals if applicable.
Question 2: Why should we hire you in our Organization?
Interviewer wants to know your interest for the job through this question. So you should tell about your strong points and success so far. Don’t say something which is not right about you. Keep in mind that the Interviewers are very experienced and they will understand if you are saying truth or just trying to outsmart them. Do not use idioms like “This is the Best Company” or “I want to work in this field” Instead, try to talk about good things of you that are related to that job and this will surely prove your usefulness.
Question 3: What are your Strengths and Weaknesses?
This is also a very generally asked question. The Interviewer here wants to analyze how much you know of yourself.
Strengths: – Mention your strengths that are valuable for organization. For example, it should not be as “I am a very good cricket Player”; somewhat you should focus on strengths that are related to that job. For example, “I have good communication skills” Or “I like Interacting with people” Or “I know how to work with a team to find out appropriate solutions”.
Weaknesses: – You should not say that you do not have any Weakness. It shows that either you are Overconfident or little bit emotional or have not assessed yourself.
Question 4: Where do you see yourself after five years from now?
It must be answered practically. Example likes “I will be in your seat after five years”. Rather you must answer this in such a way that makes sure them that you are interested to making a long-term promise towards the job. For example “I will do my job to the best of my capability and I am prepared to learn new things and add to the overall success of the organization in a number of methods. I am confident that here I will have chances to advance my skills and provide best of my services to the organization.
Question 5: Why did you choose to work in a bank?
This is very common questions and asked to almost 90% of the candidates by the banking organizations. Here the interviewer wants to know your level of agreeableness of working a in a bank. Not at all directly say that “I did not get a job in Private sector” or “There is lot of stress in Private jobs and government jobs are less intense and more flexible.
